A Love Story Unscripted:
Myles & Minnie’s Pre-Wedding Journey
When Myles, a 3D artist, and Minnie, a fashion designer, reached out to us, they didn’t want just another pre-wedding video. They wanted something real—a journey captured in motion, free from stiff poses and staged moments.
From heartfelt parent interviews to an intimate gift-unwrapping session, every moment was about their love, their memories, and their future together. We filmed in a natural park setting and a cozy hotel room, ensuring every interaction felt genuine and effortless.
This is more than just a wedding film—it’s a story of two creatives, their decade-long journey, and the love that brought them here.
Background: A Different Kind of Pre-Wedding Video
When Myles and Minnie reached out, they didn’t want a typical pre-wedding video. Myles, a 3D artist, and Minnie, a fashion designer, had a strong appreciation for storytelling and visuals. They had seen an interview-style video we created and loved its raw emotion. Their request? A love journey video that felt just as real—no dramatic poses, no staged moments, just something that truly reflected them.
Getting to Know Them
Our first meeting lasted over two hours. By the end, I had a good sense of who Myles and Minnie were—laid-back, natural, and deeply connected. They valued my creative input but also had strong artistic sensibilities. The key was to keep everything authentic and unforced. Since they were both creatives, they didn’t want anything that felt overly polished or staged.
Planning the Shoot
I spent a week refining the concept. I created mood boards to map out the look and feel and researched locations that suited their vibe. Since they wanted a natural and realistic feel, we decided on a park setting where they could simply be themselves—walking, talking, and enjoying each other’s company. Apart from the park, they also rented a hotel for me to conduct interview shoots and capture some B-roll footage of them having a conversation, as well as getting ready for their wedding day. Instead of flashy movements or typical pre-wedding shots, I focused on capturing their real interactions, like two soulmates sharing everyday moments.
Filming: Keeping It Real
On shoot day, the goal was to make it feel like a normal day out rather than a production. There were no forced poses or dramatic gestures—just Myles and Minnie being themselves while I filmed from a distance.
They also had a special request: to interview their parents about their first impressions of each other. This turned into a beautiful moment as they learned stories they had never heard before. The reactions were priceless, adding a heartfelt, unexpected layer to their video.
A Decade of Love, Unwrapped
Another intimate moment they wanted to include was a gift unwrapping session. Since Myles and Minnie had been together for over a decade, they had kept presents they had given each other over the years. They sat down and unwrapped these old gifts, reminiscing about their journey. Some made them laugh, others brought back forgotten memories, and the whole session was warm, nostalgic, and full of emotion.
The Final Film: More Than Just a Pre-Wedding Video
The final video wasn’t just about Myles and Minnie’s love—it was about their families, their memories, and the journey that brought them here. The couple loved how natural and meaningful it felt, especially with the parent interviews and gift unwrapping session.
Takeaway: A New Approach to Pre-Wedding Videos
This project showed that not every couple needs a grand, cinematic pre-wedding shoot. Sometimes, the best way to tell a love story is to keep it simple and real.
For couples who want more than just a wedding film—who want a love story that truly reflects their relationship—this project proves that authenticity is the best approach.
